My Review

“Crazy, Stupid, Love” is a romantic comedy about a middle-aged man trying to get back on his feet, romantically speaking, after the breakup of his marriage. Directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa and screenwriter Dan Fogelman have brought us a very funny and a very original comedy.

The stars deliver some good performances, especially Steve Carrell in the lead role. He seems to have these type of sympathetic romantic parts all to himself these days. The supporting cast includes Julianne Moore, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei, Kevin Bacon, John Carroll Lynch, Josh Groban, Lio Tipton, Julianne Guill, Beth Littleford, and Jonah Bobo. This film features the first pairing of Gosling and Stone in three pictures, including “Gangster Squad” 2013) and “La La Land” (2016).

The watchable “Crazy, Stupid, Love” from producers Steve Carrell and Denise Di Novi and Warner Bros. Pictures was a modest hit in theatrical release.
