A new musical version of “Cinderella” is out in theaters. This live action offering, brilliantly written and directed by Kay Cannon (“Blockers“ 2018), features both popular music numbers and some original songs. Mychael Danna and Jessica Weiss were in charge of composing the new music, as well as arrangements.
Beautiful actress Camila Cabello did an amazing job in the title role, especially considering this was her motion picture debut. Others include Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Pierce Brosnan, Nicholas Galitzine, and Billy Porter. “Cinderella“ was based on the work of French writer Charles Perrault in the 1600’s. Sony Pictures did not make money at the box office. This retelling of the old classic “Cinderella” is nonetheless a very entertaining and watchable motion picture.
