My Review

“Christmas at Evergreen: Tidings of Joy” continues the story of the fictional Vermont town of Evergreen with a reporter from a big-city newspaper trying to get the scoop on the town’s Christmas festival and a search for a long-lost time capsule. Director Sean McNamara kept the film faithful to the original film “Christmas in Evergreen” (2017), with a complete TV-G-rating, from a quality teleplay by Zac Hug.

The cast includes Maggie Lawson, Holly Robinson Peete, Paul Greene, Rukiya Bernard, Barbara Niven, Jill Wagner, Ashley Williams, Patty McCormack, Colin Lawrence, Marlon Kazadi, Antonio Cayonne, Keith Martin Corday, Malcolm Stewart, Michelle Martin, and Chris Cope as Ezra. Some are returnees from the first two “Evergreen” pictures. This very watchable made-for-television movie “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy” was first aired on the Hallmark Channel in December, 2019.
