My Review

The continuing story of residents of the fictional small town of Evergreen, Vermont, is told in movie number four: “Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing.” Michelle is getting married, and Hannah has a new job as manager of the town museum. Linda-Lisa Hayter did an expert job of directing traffic, from an excellent teleplay by Zac Hug and Shari Sharp.

Each of the four films is a self-contained story, so it is not a disaster if you have not seen the previous three – (“Christmas in Evergreen” (2017), “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa” (2018), and “Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy” (2019). They are based on books of the same name by Nancy Naigle.

The cast is headed by Holly Robinson Peete as Michelle and Rukiya Bernard as Hannah. Co-stars include Antonio Cayonne, Barbara Niven, Marci T. House, Malcolm Stewart, Marlon Kazadi, Chris Cope, Jacqueline Robbins, Joyce Robbins, Keith Martin Gordey, Colin Lawrence, Ashley Williams, Jaeda Lilly Miller, Daryl Shuttleworth, Michelle Martin, et al.

This watchable made-for-television movie “Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing” was first aired on Dec. 5, 2020, on the Hallmark Channel and is available on DVD and some streaming services. It was produced by Front Street Pictures and the people at Hallmark.
