My Review

“Bonneville” is a comedy-drama film that tells the story of three women on a road trip from Pocatello, Idaho, to Santa Barbara, with the goal of delivering the ashes of one of the women’s deceased husband to his daughter. Three major stars, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Joan Allen, all perform very well together in this ensemble cast, under the guidance of director Christopher N. Rowley from the screenplay by Daniel D. Davis.

The supporting cast includes Tom Skerritt, Victor Rasuk, Christine Baranski, Tom Wopat, and Tom Amandes. The cinematography of Jeffrey L. Kimball is also a star of “Bonneville” with beautiful location shots in the Bonneville Salt Flats, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs. This watchable independent film from SenArt Films did not make much money in theatrical release.
