Scarlett Johansson continues her superhero status with “Black Widow,” the 24th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first stand-alone picture for her character Black Widow that debuted in 2010’s “Iron Man 2.” Director Cate Shortland and writer Eric Pearson created a movie filled with enough action sequences and slick production values to please fans of Marvel films. It did well at the box office.
The supporting cast behind Johansson includes Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Olga Kurylenko, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz. “Black Widow” is more super entertainment from Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios, a crowd pleaser with movie fans and a well-deserved vehicle for the very lovely and talented Scarlett Johansson.
