Fans of the “Bill & Ted” movie franchise (1989 and 1991) will probably love the third film “Bill & Ted Face the Music.” Though obviously aging, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter keep their characters faithful to the original duo, no doubt aided by director Dean Parisot (“Galaxy Quest” 1999) and screenwriters Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the pair who created Bill and Ted and penned the script for all three movies.
Supporting cast includes Kristen Schaal, Samara Weaving, Bridget Lundy-Paine, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Amy Stoch, William Sadler, Kid Cudi, and Holland Taylor as The Most Powerful Person in the Universe. George Carlin appears posthumously in archive footage from the 1989 picture.
Orion Pictures and United Artists’ “Bill & Ted Face the Music” flopped at the box office mainly due to the corona virus pandemic. It is a watchable movie mainly to members of its fanbase, probably unwatchable to the rest of us mere mortals.
