My Review

Marvel Studios has put together its most ambitious project so far with “Avengers: Infinity War.” Producer Kevin Feige, directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have orchestrated over twenty five superheroes in one film in a most spectacular fashion.

The exciting story has the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy teamed up to stop a villainous character named Thanos, marvelously played by Josh Brolin, from obtaining the all-powerful Infinity Stones. The clear and easy to follow storyline, fast-moving action sequences, and well organized interaction between the superheroes make this two-and-a-half hour picture flow smoothly and rapidly.

The actors all turned in great performances, including the aforementioned Brolin. Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark, leader of the Avengers, which includes Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie. Chris Pratt also returns as Peter Quill, the Guardian leader, which includes Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper. Other cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Benicio del Toro, William Hurt, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is the 19th picture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sequel to the two Avengers films of 2012 and 2015. A sequel is scheduled for May, 2019, from Marvel Studios and The Walt Disney Company.
