My Review

“After Death” is a documentary film chronicling the experiences of numerous persons who have had near-death experiences, and what happed to them after they died and came back to life. The film features numerous interviews and some reenactments of events.

Interviewees include Dr. Mary Neal (orthopedic surgeon), Dr. Michael Sabom (cardiologist), Dr. Ajmal Zemmar (neuroscientist), Dr. Raymond Moody (psychiatrist), Dr. Karl Greene (neurosurgeon), Don Piper (author of “90 Minutes in Heaven”), Howard Storm (author of “My Descent into Death”), John Burke (author of “Imagine Heaven” and pastor of Gateway Church, Austin, Texas), and many more.

Directors-screenwriters Stephen Gray and Chris Radtke did a good job of piecing together an interesting look at life after death, although the 102-minute long film did become a little tedious, even with reenactments. Nonetheless, “After Death” is an interesting, inspiring, and thought-provoking faith based movie, a modest success in theatrical release for Sypher Studios, Theora Films, and Angel Studios.
