An opera singer’s flight to Vienna for a concert is delayed just before Christmas and she ends up staying in a bed-and-breakfast in a remote area of England in “A Very British Christmas.” She gets more than she bargained for when she becomes involved with the owner, a handsome widower, and his young daughter. Director Steven Nesbit did an excellent job on this made-for-television movie, instilling it with great production values, beautiful English scenery, and some old fashioned Christmas cheer.
The cast includes Rachel Shenton as the opera singer, Mark Killeen as the B&B owner, Isla Cook as the daughter, as well as Jennifer Bryer, Steve Evets, Adam Fogerty, Michele Dotrice, and Syd as Pookie the dog.
