My Review

“Juror #2” is a riveting legal thriller about a juror on a high profile murder trial who finds himself in a moral dilemma: As the trial proceeds, he realizes he may be responsible for the victim’s death. Director Clint Eastwood (“Unforgiven” 1992) put together quite an engrossing drama that holds the audience’s attention throughout the 114 minute running time. The lucid screenplay was written by Jonathan Abrams.

The talented cast really delivered in this motion picture, especially Nicholas Hoult as the juror and Toni Collette as the Assistant District Attorney. Co-stars include Gabriel Brasso as the suspect on trial, Chris Messina as his attorney, Zoey Deutch as the juror’s wife, Kiefer Sutherland as the juror’s Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, Amy Aquino as the judge, J. K. Simmons, Cedric Yarbrough, Leslie Bibb, and Adrienne C. Moore as jurors, and Francesca Eastwood (daughter of the director) as the victim.

The very watchable “Juror #2” received only limited release in theaters by Warner Bros., as they intended it as a motion picture scheduled for streaming on Max, its primary streaming service. “Juror #2” is a motion picture project from producer Clint Eastwood, Dichotomy Films, Malpaso Productions, and Warner Bros. Pictures.
