My Review

“Borderline” is the typical black-and-white “B” crime drama film noir produced in the 1940’s and 1950’s. This Universal Pictures product tells the story of the Los Angeles Police Department’s attempts to break up drug smuggling operations that work across the U. S.-Mexican border.

Producer-director William A. Seiter and screenwriter Devery Freeman turned out a very exciting and fast-moving motion picture; the action never stops in the movie’s 88 minute running time. The stars of the watchable “Borderline” include Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor, Raymond Burr, Charles Lane, Roy Roberts, Morris Ankrum, Don Diamond, Nacho Galindo, Pepe Hern, Clifton Young, Johnny Indrisano, Jose Torvay, and Crispin Martin as the hotel clerk.
