Sloppy direction, terrible writing, and bad acting all characterize one of 2018’s biggest box office bombs “The Hurricane Heist.” Director Rob Cohen (“The Fast and the Furious” 2001), screenwriters Jeff Dixon and Scott Windhauser, and a group of mostly unknown actors collaborated on this disastrous project.
Veteran actor Ben Cross, of “Chariots of Fire” (1981) fame, and Maggie Grace, of the “Lost” television show and Liam Neeson’s daughter in the “Taken” movie series, are the only names in this picture. He plays the corrupt sheriff and she a U. S. Treasury agent in this story about a government mint being robbed during a Category 5 hurricane. The cast also includes Toby Kebbell, Ryan Kwanten, Ralph Ineson, and Melissa Bolona.
