Producer-director Clint Eastwood (“Pale Rider” 1985) put together a gem of a motion picture about the aborted terrorist attack aboard the Amsterdam to Paris train in 2015 called “The 15:17 to Paris.” Eastwood took the unusual step of having the three Americans who stopped the attack play themselves.
Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler, and Alek Skarlatos actually did a good job for their feature film debut. They are obviously familiar with the material, but recreating it on film is another matter. A Frenchman and his wife who were involved in the situation also played themselves: Mark Moogalian and Isabelle Risacher Moogalian.
Others in this Warner Bros. picture include professional actors Judy Greer, Jenna Fischer, Tony Hale, Jaleel White, and Chris Norman. Eastwood hired Dorothy Blyskal to write the screenplay for the very watchable movie “The 15:17 to Paris.”
