Director Julius Onah (“Luce” 2019), who also co-wrote the screenplay with five others, put together this 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is really a rehash of other plots and storylines over the years in the MCU. It must be difficult for the folks at Marvel Studios to come up with something new at this late date.
The cast behind Anthony Mackie do their part in delivering good performances, including Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumby, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford as the President of the United States. It is still too early to tell if “Captain America: Brave New World” will be a box office success, as motion pictures of this type need to make at least $500 million, considering the large budget and advertising expenses. A lot of folks have their fingers crossed, including producer Kevin Feige and the gang at Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Studios, and The Walt Disney Company.
