My Review

“For a Few Dollars More” is an Italian spaghetti western about two bounty hunters searching for the same vicious murderer on the loose. They agree to team up in their search for the man. Director Sergio Leone (“Once Upon a Time in the West” 1968) put together this wildly entertaining film that is second in a series of “Dollars Trilogy” films featuring Clint Eastwood in the lead role.

Co-stars include Lee Van Cleef, Gian Maria Volonte, Mara Krup, Luigi Pistilli, Klaus Kinski, Josef Egger, Panos Papadopulos, Benito Steffanelli, Mario Brega, and Sergio Leone as a whistling bounty hunter. “For a Few Dollars More” was a massive box office sensation all across Europe and America for producer Alberto Grimaldi, Produzioni Europee Associati (PEA), Arturo Gonzalez Producciones, Cinematograficas, Constantin Film, and United Artists.

The “Dollars Trilogy” pictures include “A Fistful of Dollars” (1964), “For a Few Dollars More” (1965), and “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” (1966). All featured the unique musical score of Ennio Morricone and the presence of new superstar Clint Eastwood. In this feature, Sergio Leone co-wrote the screenplay with Luciano Vincenzoni.
