My Review

“Employee of the Month” is a comedy film about two rival employees (Dane Cook and Dax Shepard) at a large membership warehouse store who compete to win a new car. When Cook threatens to take the lead, Shepard takes extreme measures to get ahead. Complicating matters are both men’s interest in a attractive new female employee (Jessica Simpson).

Director Greg Coolidge put together a fun comedy with a believable storyline about a rivalry in the work place many can relate to. Actors Cook, Shepard, and Simpson do well in the performance department, despite not being assigned to do a work by Bill Shakespeare. Director Coolidge co-wrote the screenplay with Don Calame and Chris Conroy.

Co-stars include Tim Bagley, Andy Dick, Brian George, Harlan Williams, Efren Ramirez, Sean Whalen, Marcello Thedford, Danny Woodburn, and Barbara Dodd as Dane Cook’s Granny. The watchable “Employee of the Month” was a success at the box office for Tapestry Films and Lionsgate Films.
