My Review

When a group of New England towns compete for the community with the most Christmas spirit, the mayors of East and West Riverton go all out to get their towns to the top of the heap in “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Director David Weaver and teleplay author Rick Garman do a good job of putting together this wholesome Hallmark made-for-television movie that is suitable for the entire family.

The stars of the show are Eric Mabius and Tricia Helfer as the mayors. They deliver good performances as the most clean-cut mayors in American history! Mabius rose to fame as a co-star if ABC’s “Ugly Betty” (2006-2010). Tricia Helfer electrified science fiction fans in her unforgettable role as Cylon Number Six in “Battlestar Gallactica” (2004-2009).

Co-stars include Colleen Winton, Aliza Villani, Raf Rogers, Michael Kopsa, Peter Benson, April Telek, Viv Leacock, Bryon Noble, and Katrina Reynolds. “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” was first broadcast on the Hallmark Channel in December, 2019. The film is named after the famous Christmas song written by Meredith Wilson and a big hit by Perry Como in 1951.
