“Jumanji: The Next Level” is director Jake Kasdan’s sequel to his 2017 picture “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” He managed to keep the entertaining elements of the previous film, such as the banter between the main characters and loads of action sequences, while adding new features.
Virtually the entire cast returned for the second time around including Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Rhys Darby, Ser’Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman. Newcomers include Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, Rory McCann, and Awkwafina. The two big screen veterans Danny and Danny added their own patented charisma and talent to this project.
“Jumanji: The Next Level” is an entertaining and watchable motion picture from Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures. Much of the credit for this movie’s success goes to Kasdan, who co-produced with Dwayne Johnson and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. This is the fourth in the “Jumanji” franchise series, after “Jumanji” (1995), “Zathura: A Space Adventure” (2005), and the 2017 offering.
