My Review

“Savage Guns” is a western film about a gunfighter out for revenge on an outlaw who killed his brother in a massacre at a tavern. Director Demofilo Fidani, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mila Vitelli Valenza, put together a low-budget Spaghetti Western with mediocre production values. One good thing about the film is that the story is slow at first, but does pick up the pace with some action-adventure as the movie roles on.

As in most Spaghetti Westerns, the principal actors are American with a supporting cast consisting of Italians and Spaniards. Dialogue is dubbed into English (from Italian) for the English-speaking world. The stars of the show include Robert Woods, Dino Strano, Benito Pacifico, Amerigo Castrighella, Simonetta Vitelli, Piera Bruni, and Pietro Furnelli.

The barely watchable “Savage Guns” was a flop at the box office for producer Demofilo Fidani, Galassia Cinematographica, and Mill Creek Entertainment.
