“Seattle Superstorm” is a science fiction film telling the story of a UFO crash into Puget Sound that causes earthquakes, tornadoes, electrical storms, and more, around the Seattle area. A NASA scientist and a U. S. Naval officer, who happen to be engaged to be married, are put in charge of finding out what the heck is going on.
Director Jason Bourque and teleplay writers David Ray and Jeff Renfroe have put together this made-for-television movie with plenty of inconsistencies in the plot and storyline and mediocre special effects. The acting is at least acceptable, with Esai Morales and Ona Grauer in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Jarod Abrahamson, Martin Cummins, Michelle Harrison, and MacKenzie Porter.
“Seattle Superstorm” qualifies as escapist programming that is at least barely watchable entertainment. It was aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2012.
