My Review

A brief let-up in the corona virus pandemic resulted in movie theaters opening for several weeks in September and October of 2020. The number one grossing motion picture in that time period was “Tenet,” a science fiction action picture from director-screenwriter Christopher Nolan.

As with many of his projects, such as “The Dark Knight Trilogy” (2005-2012), this one was slickly produced with superior production values. However, a flaw in “Tenet” is the ambiguous storyline that confused many viewers. (We will not mention the details to avoid being a spoiler.) This was also a characteristic of his 2010 movie “Inception,” another sci-fi thriller that featured Leonardo DiCaprio.

A bright spot in the picture is the talented cast, headed by newcomer John David Washington, son of Denzel Washington. He has a bright future in show business. Others include Robert Pattinson, Elisabeth Debicki, Martin Donovan, Fiona Dourif, Himesh Patel, and veterans Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh, sporting a heavy Russian accent. All part of the unwatchable and unbelievable film “Tenet” from Warner Bros. Pictures.
