“Weird Science” is an entertaining movie about two male teenagers who create a beautiful woman from a computer program. Director-screenwriter John Hughes (“Home Alone” 1990) adapted the story from the 1950-1953 EC comics of the same name, with great success.
Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith play the teenagers and Kelly LeBrock is the computer-generated gal. The chemistry is outstanding between the three principals thanks to Hughes’ expert writing and directing. Co-stars include Bill Paxton, Robert Downey Jr., Vernon Wells, Suzanne Snyder, Judie Aronson, Robert Rusler, Britt Leach, Barbara Lang, John Kapelos, and Michael Berryman.
This very electrifying science fiction comedy film was a big hit at the box office for Hughes Entertainment, Silver Pictures, and Universal Pictures, certainly a entertaining look into some “Weird Science.”
