My Review

“Silverado” is a western story about a group of four cowboys who help the town folk of Silverado suffering under the oppression of a greedy rancher and a corrupt sheriff. Director Lawrence Kasdan (“The Big Chill” 1983) put together an entertaining western that has a great story, good acting, and beautiful scenery. He co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Mark Kasdan.

The four stars of the show are Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Kevin Costner, and Danny Glover. Great chemistry here. Co-stars include Brian Dennehy, Rosanna Arquette, John Cleese, Jeff Goldblum, Linda Hunt, Ray Baker, Joe Seneca, Lynn Whitfield, Jeff Fahey, Pepe Serna, Amanda Wyss, Earl Hindman, James Gammon, and Thomas Wilson Brown.

The watchable “Silverado” was successful in theatrical release for producer Lawrence Kasdan, Delphi III Productions, and Columbia Pictures. It was nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Original Score and Best Sound.
