Fans of “The Dukes of Hazzard” television series should enjoy the made-for-tv movie “The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion!” It retains the basic characteristics of the original, thanks to producer-teleplay author Gy Waldron, who was the creator of the series that ran on CBS from 1979 to 1985.
Most of the original cast returned, with the exception of Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg), who passed in 1994. (Denver Pyle passed in December, 1997, eight months after the airing of this show.) Returnees include Tom Wopat (Bo), John Schneider (Luke), Catherine Bach (Daisy), Denver Pyle (Jesse), Ben Jones (Cooter), Sonny Shroyer (Enos), Rick Hurst (Cletus), and James Best as Sherriff Roscoe P. Coltrane. Others include Stella Stevens, Gary Hudson, Cynthia Rothrock, and Don Williams as The Balladeer.
