“Bob Marley: One Love” is a biopic whose subject matter is the life of Bob Marley, the most prominent pioneer of reggae music in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Director Reinaldo Marcus Green (“Joe Bell” 2020) does a good job of putting together this biography, with a believable performance by Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley. Green also included loads of music along with the drama, co-writing the screenplay with Terence Winter, Zach Baylin, and Frank E. Flowers.
The supporting cast behind Kingsley Ben-Adir includes Lashana Lynch as Marley’s wife Rita, James Norton as influential record producer Chris Blackwell, Tosin Cole, Aston Barrett Jr., Anthony Welch, Sevana, Nadine Marshall, and Michael Gandolfini, son of James Gandolfini.
The watchable “Bob Marley: One Love” has been very successful at the box office these days for producers Brad Pitt, Ziggy Marley, and Rita Marley, Plan B Entertainment, State Street Pictures, Tuff Going Pictures, and Paramount Pictures.
