“Doubting Thomas” is an independent film about a white couple who give birth to a black baby. The ensuing reactions by friends and relatives lead to a big family revelation, and tests relationships, including the married couple involved. Director Will McFadden, in his theatrical movie debut, did a very good job putting together this film with its complicated issues. He not only co-wrote the screenplay (with Joseph Campbell), but also starred in the lead role.
Co-stars include Sarah Butler, Jamie Hector, Zach Cregger, James Morrison, Melora Walters, Phil Parmet, and Robert Belushi, son of Jim Belushi and nephew of John Belushi. The very watchable “Doubting Thomas” from Long Way Home Productions had a very limited release from Gravitas Ventures.
