“No Hard Feelings” is a sex comedy film from director-screenwriter Gene Stupnitsky (“Good Boys” 2019), telling the story of a woman hired by a wealthy couple to romance their inexperienced son. Stupnitsky, who co-wrote the screenplay with John Phillips, does have an interesting storyline with comedy and drama interspersed with some nudity and raunchy language. Something to be aware of this before launching into the 103 minute movie set on Long Island, New York.
Jennifer Lawrence heads the cast, with Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti as her employer, and Andrew Barth Feldman as their son who is headed off to Princeton University. Also in the picture are Natalie Morales, Scott MacArthur, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kyle Mooney, Hasan Minhaj, and Zahn McClarnon.
The watchable “No Hard Feelings” was modestly successful at the box office and in streaming for producer Jennifer Lawrence, Excellent Cadaver, Saks Picture Company, Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, Columbia Pictures, and Sony Pictures Releasing.
