“Time Changer” is an exciting science fiction film where Gavin MacLeod plays a college professor in the year 1890 with a time machine who sends a colleague more than one hundred years into the future. Producer-director-screenwriter Rich Christiano (“End of the Harvest” 1998) put together a fast moving film with good production values and excellent performances by the actors.
At the head of the cast is Gavin MacLeod, famous for his roles as Murray Slaughter in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” (1970-1977) and the ship’s captain Merrill Stubing in “The Love Boat” (1977-1986). The supporting cast includes Hal Linden, Jennifer O’Neill, Paul Rodriguez, Richard Riehle, D. David Morin, Patty MacLeod, Paul Napier, and former Major League Baseball player Ron Cey as a hot dog vendor.
The very watchable “Time Changer” had limited success at the box office for Five & Two Pictures.
