My Review

“Mail Order Bride” is a poor attempt at movie-making, telling the story of a New York City mob boss whose nephew is scammed by a Russian organization to pay for a mail order bride that never arrives. The nephew travels to Moscow to get to the bottom of the situation, only to tangle with the Russian Mafia.

Independent director Robert Capelli Jr. and screenwriters Doug Bollinger and Sergey Konenkov have a sloppily assembled movie not even worth the drive to the megaplex. The cast delivered bad performances including Danny Aiello, Vincent Pastore, Ivana Milicovic, and Frank Gorshin in one of his last movie roles as a Russian doctor. “Mail Order Bride” was a flop at the box office.
