My Review
Adam West, Burt Ward, and some of the cast of the original “Batman” television series reunite in “Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt.” This made-for-television movie, aired on CBS in March, 2003, has West and Ward going in search of the stolen Batmobile, and reminiscing about the good ole days along the way.
Director Paul A. Kaufman and teleplay writer Duane Poole have created a respectful and comedic look back at the series which ran for only three seasons on ABC (1966-1968). Former cast members Frank Gorshin (The Riddler) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman) made memorable appearances, as do Lyle Waggoner, Lee Meriwether, and Betty White. All part of the great fun on the watchable and entertaining “Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt.”
