My Review

“DC 9/11: Time of Crisis” is a comprehensive look at the behind-the-scenes goings-on in the George W. Bush Administration during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Producer-screenwriter Lionel Chetwynd and director Brian Trenchard-Smith put together this well-paced 127 minute made-for-television movie that aired on Showtime on September 7, 2003.

The cast is headed by Timothy Bottoms starring as the President, doing a good job portraying G. W. Bush, not overdoing the Texas twang. Others include Mary Gordon Murray as Laura Bush, Lawrence Pressman as Vice President Dick Cheney, Penny Johnson Jerald as Condoleezza Rice, Gregory Itzin as John Ashcroft, George Takei as Norman Mineta, Stephen Macht as Paul Wolfowitz, David Fonteno as Colin Powell, John Cunningham as Donald Rumsfeld, and many others. All part of Showtime’s fascinating and watchable docudrama movie “DC 9/11: Time of Crisis.”
