“Angry Neighbors” is billed as a comedy film about a man whose neighbor in the Hamptons is building a mega-mansion next door (actually on the island next door). He then schemes to get revenge with supposed comedic results. In reality, director Warren Brock and screenwriters Roger Rosenblatt, James M. Bear, and Hamid Torabpour have created a movie with obnoxious characters reciting dialogue from a tedious and badly written script. This has to be the worst film of 2022!
The cast is headed by Frank Langella, Bobby Cannavale, and Stockard Channing. It is difficult to believe that stars of this caliber would appear in a motion picture this bad. Shame on them! Co-stars include Katie Parker, Jared Gilman, Stelio Savante, Ashley Benson, and Patrick Thomas O’Brien. One of the worst features is Cheech Marin as the voice of Hector the Scottish terrier. Awful!
Mercifully, “Angry Neighbors” is only about one hour and twenty minutes long. It was a major flop in general release for Lionsgate Films.
