This movie is at least barely watchable viewing thanks to the passable direction by Kevin Bray, who usually produces music videos. Ditto for the adequate screenplay by David Warfield.
The star of the show is the Oscar-winner Gooding, who generally delivers the goods theatrically. The supporting cast, which is not so professional, includes Omari Hardwicke, Sharon Leal, Omar Pez Trujillo, Chris Browning, Dean Norris, AMG, and Evan Ross, son of legendary singer Diana Ross.
