My Review

“Nim’s Island” is a fantasy action film geared for family audiences. The story tells of a young girl (Abigail Breslin) who seeks help from the author of her favorite adventure books (Jodie Foster) when her scientist father (Gerard Butler) goes missing.

The storyline is interesting enough, without any violence, gore, bad language, or drug use. Directors Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin keep things running smoothly, from a screenplay they co-wrote with Joseph Wong and Paula Mazur.

Co-stars include Anthony Simcoe, Alphonso McAuley, Morgan Griffin, Michael Carman, Chrisopher Baker, Maddison Joyce, and Peter Callan. “Nim’s Island” was successful in theatrical release for Walden Media and 20th Century Fox.
