My Review

“Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” is probably the most entertaining of the “Ice Age” series so far. This third film (after the 2002 and 2006 features) has Manny, Sid, and the gang stumbling upon a tropical world underground and having some mixed experiences with the dinosaurs there. Sort of a “Journey to the Center of the Earth” type of plot.

Director Carlos Saldanha (“Ice Age: The Meltdown” 2006) and screenwriters Michael Berg, Peter Ackerman, Mike Reiss, and Yoni Brenner keep everything interesting in this well paced 94 minute computer animated comedy. It earned tons of cash at the box office for Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation.

The talented voice cast includes Chris Wedge (Scrat), Ray Romano (Manny), John Leguizamo (Sid), Queen Latifah (Ellie), Denis Leary (Diego), Josh Peck (Eddie), Seann William Scott (Crash), Simon Pegg (Buck), Bill Hader (Gazelle) Jane Lynch (Mom Dino) and Kristen Wiig ((Mom Beaver).
