My Review
“Under the Boardwalk: The Monopoly Story” tells us everything we need to know about the popular board game of Monopoly, but didn’t know to ask. Producer-director-screenwriter Kevin Tostado went over everything from the history of Monopoly to visiting the World Championship held every four to six years at different locations around the globe. Contestants are interviewed and share the inside dope like the importance of tokens and winning strategies. All of us can pick up some pointers here.
The stars came out for this documentary project, including Zachary Levi as the narrator, and Elizabeth Banks, Tom Bosley, Carol Burnett, Tina Fey, Vicki Lawrence, Jay Leno, Paul Rudd, Danny DeVito, Helen Hunt, Ron Howard, and others featured in reenactments. “Under the Boardwalk: The Monopoly Story” is an interesting documentary that had limited theatrical release and is widely available on DVD.
