My Review

“Just Go With It” is a romantic-comedy film where Adam Sandler plays a plastic surgeon who somehow gets his reluctant assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to help him woo a sixth-grade math teacher. Director Dennis Dugan (“Grown Ups” 2010) and screenwriters Allan Loeb and Timothy Dowling made a really funny movie that is heavily reliant on the talents and chemistry between Sandler and Aniston. The screenplay is not the best ever written, and is based on “Cactus Flower,” the 1969 film that featured Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman, and Goldie Hawn.

The cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Nick Swardson, Brooklyn Decker, Bailee Madison, Griffin Gluck, Dave Matthews, Rachel Dratch, Kevin Nealon, Heidi Montag, Minka Kelly, Dan Patrick, Mario Joyner, Keegan-Michael Key, and and tennis player Andy Roddick and ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro as themselves. Much of the movie takes place in Hawaii, adding to the fun and charm of “Just Go With It,” a big hit at the box office for Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures.
