My Review

Bruce Willis has another successful installment in his “Die Hard” movie series. “A Good Day to Die Hard” is a hit at the box office, the fourth sequel since the original was released in 1988.

This fun and watchable motion picture is, of course, heavy on action-adventure, explosions, and an outstanding car chase scene. Proficient direction by John Moore (“Max Payne” 2008) and a respectable screenplay by Skip Woods help to hold the viewers’ attention throughout the 97 minute film.

Willis returns as former cop John McClane; he seems to retain his appeal after nearly three decades in the movie business. Also contributing are Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Yuliya Snigir, Cole Hauser, and Amaury Nolasco.

With sequels released in 1990, 1995, and 2007, “A Good Day to Die Hard” from 20th Century Fox has more than held its own in this twenty-fifth anniversary edition of “Die Hard.”
