My Review

Daniel Craig makes his fifth and final appearance as James Bond in “No Time To Die.”  The story has James in retirement, and hired by the CIA to find a kidnapped scientist.  Director Cary Joji Fukunaga (“Jane Eyre” 2011) kept a tight hand on the filming with the result being an exciting twenty-fifth Bond picture from Eon Productions.

The strong supporting cast includes Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Jeffrey Wright, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, Ana de Armas, Brigitte Millar, Hugh Dennis, Priyanga Burford, Dali Benssalah, and Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Ralph Fiennes as M.  The musical score was composed by Hans Zimmer.

The excellent screenplay by Cary Joji Fukunaga, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Pheobe Walter-Bridge has some surprises for Daniel Craig’s 007 swan song.  “No Time to Die” is a very watchable picture for Eon productions and Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer, making a modest profit at the box office, good considering this is the era of COVID.
