My Review

The BBC’s 2015 mini-series “And Then There Were None” is the umpteenth remake of Agatha Christie’s classic mystery novel, first published in 1939. This outstanding version was commissioned to commemorate the 125th anniversary of her birth. It is a high quality tribute that brings new life into this familiar story of eight people, strangers to each other, invited to visit a mansion on an isolated island off of the coast of Devon, England.

Craig Viveiros, director of numerous English television programs, and teleplay author Sarah Phelps have created a very watchable show that lasted three hours. Plenty of time to revel in this story that has good character development, suspense build-up, etc.

The actors include Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Aidan Turner, Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Burn Gorman, Maeve Dormody, and Toby Stephens, son of Dame Maggie Smith. Noah Taylor and Anna Maxwell Martin play two new-hire servants. All part of the fun and classic suspense on the BBC’s “And Then There Were None.”
