My Review

Jessica Chastain delivers a strong performance as a lobbyist named “Miss Sloane” determined to get gun control legislation through Congress in this tense political thriller film. Director John Madden (“The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” 2011) and screenwriter Jonathan Perera have created an exciting look inside Washington’s law-making process; a look primarily appreciated by political junkies. The public apparently agreed as “Miss Sloane” was a flop at the box office.

Co-stars include Mark Strong, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, John Lithgow, Sam Waterston, Allison Pill, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jake Lacy, Chuck Shamata, David Wilson Barnes, Michael Cram, Dylan Baker, and Christine Baranski. All part of the political fun in “Miss Sloane” from EuropaCorp and FilmNation Entertainment.
