My Review

“Inferno” is a surprisingly well put together action thriller that keeps viewers on the edge of their collective seats for the two hour and one minute duration of the movie. Director Ron Howard (“Apollo 13” 1995) did a much better job with this third installment of Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” series than he did at the helm of the duller and plodding predecessors: “The Da Vinci Code” (2006) and “Angels & Demons” (2009). The excellent screenplay was written by David Koepp.

The film has some fantastic filming locations in Italy, which added a lot to the project, thanks to cinematographer Salvatore Totino. Also worth mentioning is the classy musical score composed by Hans Zimmer.

Tom Hanks continued in the lead role of Robert Langdon, involved in further intrigue. The supporting cast includes Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Ben Foster, Sidse Babett Knudson, Irrfan Khan, Paul Ritter, and Ana Ularu. All are part of the watchable “Inferno,” the hot box office hit from Imagine Entertainment, Columbia Pictures, and Sony Pictures.
