Director Brad Furman (“The Lincoln Lawyer” 2011) has brought us another crime drama called “The Infiltrator.” This true story of a U. S. Customs agent who goes undercover to bring down drug lords was based on the career of Robert Mazur, the screenplay by Ellen Brown Furman adapted from his 2009 autobiography of the same name.
This engrossing movie featured Bryan Cranston in the lead role, which he handles very professionally. The supporting cast includes Benjamin Bratt, Juliet Aubrey, Amy Ryan, Olympia Dukakis, Diane Kruger, Yul Vasquez, Elena Anaya, and John Leguizamo, who co-starred with Cranston in “The Lincoln Lawyer.” This watchable independent production “The Infiltrator” was not successful at the box office.
