Producer-director Guy Ritchie has turned out another dud with “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” As he has with other films such as “Sherlock Holmes” (2009), Ritchie takes most of the excitement out of a tried-and-true story and installs his own mediocre version. This makes for a movie with lots of activity and a muddled and confusing plot. Most of the public agreed as the film bombed at the box office.
Ritchie also co-wrote the screenplay with Lionel Wigram and Joby Harold. They provide the cast with loads of words to recite, the best we can say about this Warner Bros. Pictures production. The actors include Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aiden Gillen, Eric Bana, Jude Law, Tom Wu, Freddie Fox, and David Beckham in a cameo appearance.
