“Kill Switch” is a Dutch science fiction movie about a power company that builds a massive tower able to tap into unlimited energy. Unfortunately, it is discovered that the tower endangers people in a parallel universe. Don’t you hate when that happens?
Director Tim Smit (in his first film) and screenwriters Charlie Kindiger and Omid Nooshin created a dull and hard to follow movie with a ridiculous premise that is mercifully only 92 minutes long. Not a box office crowd pleaser for the independent production companies that financed this project.
The cast is headed by Dan Stevens, known for playing Matthew Crawley on the British television series “Downton Abbey.” He plays an American here in “Kill Switch.” Other actors include Berenice Marlohe, Tygo Gernandt, Bas Keijzer, Mike Reus, and Charity Wakefield.
