“Bullet Train” is an action-adventure film with strong comedic elements. Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock head a cast on a Japanese bullet train filled with hit men trying to assassinate one another, to make a long story short.
Producer-director David Leitch (“Atomic Blonde” 2017) did a good job of making this picture work, which could have easily disintegrated into confusion. The outstanding screenplay by Zak Okewicz helped, adapted from the 2010 Japanese novel “Maria Beetle” by Kotaro Isaka.
This is the second movie this year featuring Pitt and Bullock, the first being “Lost City.” Co-stars include Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Andrew Koji, Hiroykuki Sanada, Benito A. Martinez Ocasio.
The watchable “Bullet Train” was successful in theaters for Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures.
