My Review

The usually dramatic actor Jon Hamm takes over the comedy role of Fletch from Chevy Chase in this year’s “Confess, Fletch.” (Chase’s “Fletch” movies came out in 1985 & 1989.) The talented Hamm did well in the character due in part because of help from director Greg Mattola, with whom he worked with in “Keeping Up with the Joneses, ‘ an action-comedy picture back in 2016. Mattola co-wrote the screenplay with Zev Barow.

The talented supporting cast includes Marcia Gay Hardin, Kyle MacLachlan, Roy Wood Jr., John Slattery, and Lorenza Izzo. “Confess, Fletch,” which does contain plenty of laughs, did not make money at the box office due to the fact that it was distributed in limited theatrical release by Miramax and Paramount Pictures. It is a great view on DVD!
