My Review

Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler (“Creed” 2015) have created an outstanding sequel to 2018’s “Black Panther,” which Coogler also directed. It is called “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and is a tasteful tribute to star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in August, 2020.

It is also an exciting action-adventure superhero picture in its own right, thanks to the storyline, created by Coogler, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole. The story has actress Letitia Wright carrying on as the new Black Panther. She does an excellent job of portraying Shuri, the sister of Boseman’s character T’Challa, as she did in the first “Panther” movie.

Other cast members include Lupita Nyongo, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Angela Bassett. Also making appearances, albeit cameos, are Michael B. Jordan, Trevor Noah, Richard Schiff, and Anderson Cooper.

The watchable “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was successful at the box office thanks to producer Kevin Feige, director Ryan Coogler, Marvel Studios, and The Walt Disney Company.
