The story of mercenary Frank Martin continues in “Transporter 2,” where he is a bodyguard to a U. S. Senator’s son kidnapped by a powerful drug cartel and infected with a deadly virus. Martin must find the boy before the disease spreads to millions. Jason Statham steps back into the role he originated in “The Transporter” (2002) without skipping a beat. He was aided by director Louis Leterrier (“The Incredible Hulk” 2008) and screenwriters Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kanen.
Co-stars include Alessandro Gassmann as the mobster, Matthew Modine as the Senator, Amber Valletta as his wife, Hunter Clary as their son Jack, Keith David, Jason Flemying, Kate Nauta, AnnaLynne McCord, Raymond Tong, and Tim Ware and Marc Macaulay as U.
